GANT celebrates 75 years with a vintage-inspired collection
Bernard Gantmacher began building his legacy by tailoring shirts in New York City's Garment District, founding GANT in 1949. Seventy-five years later, the brand continues to perfect the American sportswear look they pioneered. To celebrate the anniversary, they are now releasing a limited edition collection.

The anniversary collection – a journey through the archives
Over the years, the brand has collected historical GANT garments from around the world and carefully created an archive that tells their story. In the anniversary collection, you’ll find a limited edition of old classics from the 1950s and onwards, reinterpreted with a modern twist. Varsity jacket in lambskin
A favourite plucket from the archive is this college jacket from the 80s, now updated from the original. This contemporary version is made from rugged lambskin, featuring details like a bomber collar, colour-block sleeves and rib knitted cuffs, making it a classic to wear now and look back on in the future. "This is one for the books; a full-leather varsity jacket from the 1980s, bought from someone who loved it and wore it to bits. We recreated it in the finest vegetable- tanned leather and switched it up with a regular rib collar. I don’t normally like to mess around with legacy pieces, but the update made it even better."
- Christopher Bastin, Creative Director, GANT
More classics in a new rendition
The collection also includes timeless pieces like rugby shirts in vibrant colour combinations, Oxford shirts in pinstripes, and shirts in soft twill and flannel.
