Running is more popular than ever before, and after the pandemic, you could see more and more people lacing up their running shoes. For many people, running can be a vent to clear their thoughts and for others the community of a running group is the energy they need to keep going. Running is easy. You can run anytime and anywhere. The fresh air, the health benefits and the feeling in the body after a run is one of the best there is. All you really need to get started is a good pair of running shoes. We help you below with which shoes to invest in, whether you are running your first kilometres on your local route, or running your next marathon.
For terrain running
When it is time to head out for a run in the woods, you will need equipment designed for the challenging terrain that awaits. The shoes need to be stable enough to avoid injury from roots and slippery paths, but also must not be too heavy so that it becomes difficult to run. They need a sole with excellent, durable grip and some also prefer shoes with water-repellent properties. A general tip for most running shoes is to leave 1-1.5 centimetres of space for the toes. This is especially important for your trail shoes, as you will probably be running both down and up slopes where the toes need more space. For the roads
For regular asphalt running, the needs of the runner will always vary. Some may want a lot of cushioning, another a stable shoe and the third wants a carbon plate for their pro running sessions. Whether you are at the beginner level or at the elite level, it all starts with a requirement for a good pair of running shoes. They will not only motivate you more but also help you gradually towards your goals. Always try the shoes on at home before you go out for a run to make sure it is the right shoe for you. For everyday use
When we talk about running sneakers, it does not necessarily mean that it is a pair of pure running shoes. It is of course possible to run fast to catch the bus with the sneakers below, they are actually remarkable for that - but for serious running training, we recommend some of the above models instead. Running sneakers, on the other hand, have taken their inspiration from retro running shoes, but are meant to be worn every day. The shoes are an excellent complement to leather or fabric sneakers and add a sporty expression to your look. You cannot fail with a pair of Made in USA - New Balance to go with your Japanese raw denim jeans.
