We find spring outerwear from three of our Italian craft specialists. Herno provides the protection you need without compromising on style, Boglioli gives you the season's blazer and Verona’s MooRer manufacture lightweight down at the absolute highest level. We give tips on three outer garments to wear this spring for the Italian connoisseur.
Harrington jacket with Loro Piana fabric
Herno are one of the foremost manufacturers of outerwear. No wonder considering their figure hugging fit, exclusive material choices and technical features. In our opinion, this Harrington jacket is one of the most versatile outer garments this spring. With fine details such as the two-way zip, practical pockets and its extremely lightweight, it works just as well to wear for a dressier look, as with a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. The fabric from Loro Piana is completely water and wind resistant. We like the combination of a pair of fresh Italian chinos and comfortable runners from Slovakia’s Novesta. A sporty and stylish look for those who live a busy life and do not want to compromise on comfort.
Unstructured blazer from Milan
When talking about classically constructed garments, Boglioli is never far from the mind. We take the opportunity to highlight the blazer as the perfect outer garment this spring. Pair with a cashmere sweater on chilly mornings, and should the rain arrive, an umbrella or raincoat maybe introduced. Boglioli’s “K-Jacket” is handmade in Gambara, near to Milan. For those who have not tried a Boglioli blazer yet, you will quickly realise that you do not want to take it off. The lightweight construction gives the feeling that you are wearing a sweater, but visually it is a stylish blazer from Northern Italy. We combine the green blazer with a midnight blue shirt from Mazzarelli and a pair of stonewashed straight jeans from Boglioli.
Lightweight down jackets are an optimal addition to most summer wardrobes. This brown vest from MooRer, made in Verona and blends luxurious elegance with technical functionality. The Senio model from the brand is discreet in design and perfect to wear over a shirt or blazer for insulation. The vest has a close-fitting silhouette that maintains a dressy style. Here, we combine the vest in a casual manner with a pair of beige sneakers from Brunello Cuccineli, further shorts from Massimo Alba, and a wide-striped linen shirt from Lardini.
