There are often many festivities around christmas, coming in different forms. A formal sit-down with colleagues, pleasant dinners with friends and cherished celebrations at home with family. No matter the occasion, it feels more special when you dress up. During these occasions, it is often nice to wear something that feels a bit beyond the everyday outfits. We have put together three combinations, ranging from formal to more casual, designed to allow even those who do not usually wear a suit, to also feel comfortable in different outfits. We also think that those who often wear these styles may be inspired or may feel tempted to try them out.
Dark toned suit and knitted vest
The words “dark toned suit” are often associated with official, well-dressed occasions. A grey suit, flannel shirt, pattern knitted vest and handmade suede loafers brings the three-piece suit to the table, in a slightly more casual adaptation. The fabrics, textures and shoe type brings notions of what you may wear, sipping mulled wine whilst glancing over the snow-capped mountains surrounding Lake Como.
Jeans and a corduroy blazer, together with a shirt and V-neck sweater helps you to retain a relaxed sophisticated feel. Premium loafers add that extra touch to the outfit, a burgundy scarf undoubtedly links to the Christmas season and the upcoming weekends.
For those who prefer a slightly oversized fit, we have pieced together a cardigan, drawstring trousers and an oversized coat, where both the components and look have strong links to the nightlife in Paris. Monochromatic outer layers hide intentionally chosen colours and patterns in the layers beneath.
